Have I got a story for you....

Today, my friend Kally and I went to a story-telling event at The Wandering Wolf.  Henning Lionheart is the narrator for Chapter 3 of The Hobbit.  I have never been to a story telling event in InWorldz before, and Henning did a marvelous job.  The story-telling took place in a ship's library.   There were chairs & cushions to sit upon, and was very cozy.   The next reading, on Sunday,  will be Sherlock Holmes.  If you get a chance,  you should drop by for a story!

I scream, You scream...

... We all scream for ice cream!!!  Some of you may know that one of my favorite things in any world is Ice Cream!! We've found the cutest ice cream shop out there.  You get a choice of flavors.  Anywhere from Vanilla Fudge Swirl to Triple Mint Overkill.  While Rockr prefers the Death by Chocolate, I loved the Fuzzy Navel.   There are 16 flavors to try.   Let us know which is YOUR favorite.

You can find this fabulous ice cream shop on the Victoriana Innocent

Home is where the heart is...

Home

Home is the place your heart resides
Home is the place that you decide
Home is the womb that holds the soul
Home is the place where one is whole

Home is the glow you hold in your eye
Home is the emotion that makes you cry
Home is safe and a place of peace
Home is where all strivings cease

Home is protective against the others
Home is full of sisters and brothers
Home is where you find your rest
Home is where you feel your best

Home is a memory that follows your being
Home is a dream for those agreeing
Home is the place where reserves fall
Home is the place you yearn to call

Home is where the family meets
Home is a place of restful retreats
Home is the place you know you’ll be heard
Home is the pace where nothing blurs

Home is all these wonderful things
Home is the place you develop wings
Home is the place that you’ll find one day
Home is the place where your heart will stay

Skyblue... Butterfingers...

Remember the games you used to play as a child?   Rocking horses, trampolines, musical chairs and hopscotch are among the various games I played.  Hopscotch was one of my favorites though.  I found a colorful hopscotch board while out exploring.

Victoriana Innocent is the sim, created by Door Mouse, that I came across recently.  Victoriana Innocent is a sim geared for Child Avatars.  Door stated that she wanted to create a safe, age appropriate place where children can hang out with their friends and/or family.  She also has child-size homes that are available for rent for the children that are too busy to have families, in between families or just would like a private place to call their own.

When you arrive on the sim, there is a box available to click that has landmarks of all the kid merchants and the fun & welcoming places for kids to go.  Carnivals, and adoption agencies are among those landmarks.  Door stated, "finding kid stuff in search is the hardest thing, and they do not have them included in the welcome HUD.  This is what inspired the build."

So, regardless if you are a child or an adult avatar, this is a place that I recommend you to visit.  Besides the things mentioned above, they have bullriding, musical chairs, and  a chess set for your enjoyment.  You can grab an ice cream cone, head down to the picnic area and sit with your friends and watch a movie on the huge movie screen.   Sounds like a fun time to me!!  Maybe you'll even catch me there!!  :)

Gardening with Button Moon!

I love everything about Nature and being outside. I love flowers, trees, animals..you name it.  I love it!  One of my very good friends,  Elsie Moon, is the owner of Button Moon.  She makes shabby chic furniture and decor.   Recently she made this Greenhouse for her Group Gift.  It came with the ladder, bench, shelves, pots, soils and such.  If  you are interested in this type of decor, please visit her on the Triton sim.

Double Feature..

Ever try to clear out the landmarks in your inventory?   Last night I started.  I would teleport to various landmarks or not depending if they worked or not.   I found some very interesting places.  The first one I came across was a place called Birchglen North on a sim called Diamond Valley.  This is basically a residental sim created by Birch Wind, but opened to the public since there are a few shops, parks, waterfalls, a lodge and a cinema.

I was in a mood for some relaxation so I popped some popcorn in RL, grabbed a soda and pressed the play button and watched not only one but two films.  I watched both,   American Hustle and The Secret Life of Walter Middy.  I had the theater to myself so no dealing with the light of someone else's cell phone popping up in the darkness or the ringing of one for that matter.  What a pleasant night!

If you get a moment or two, Birchglen North and South are wonderful to explore.  There are houses available for rent also.  There are different styles to choose from and seems like a nice community.  I would highly recommend it.  And make sure you catch a movie!!!

Driving Mr. Daisy..

One of the things I love about being here in InWorldz is hanging with my friends.  I have very creative friends.  They make the coolest things!  Pictured with me is Strummer Skytower.  We are riding in a golf cart that he has made.  He likes to make rideable things.  He has made boats, bumper cars, go karts, dune buggies, and now this golf cart.

Check out the Skytower sim called Traditions.   There you will find most of these vehicles that you can test out. If you like them... Skytower Designs will have them for you to purchase.  Did I mention that I practically live there on the sim?  I love to race...so come on by...try to beat me!!  LOL

Come Away with Me...

At the Hi Hat Club tonight listening to DJ Kally Skytower spin a contempory jazz selection.  Among the titles she selected was Norah Jones'  Come Away with Me.  I love this song!  Here are the lyrics...

Come Away with Me

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song

Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us
With their lies

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won't you try to come

Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you

And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

Where will I be tomorrow?   No one knows...not even me!  I love mysteries :)
